Method 1: Clear App Data and Cache

In order to solve this error you may need to clear data and clear cache of some of the default apps.

Step 1: Unlock your phone and Go to Settings.

Step 2: In Settings, Go to Apps.

Step 3: In Apps, scroll down and click on Phone.

Step 4: Now Clear Data and Clear Cache of Phone.

Method 2: Try Wiping Cache

If the above method didn’t work for you, then no worry, try this method. In this method, you will clear all your cache from the Recovery mode.

Step 1: Switch off your device completely.

Step 2: Now boot into Recovery mode by using the key combination. The key combination can be different from different OEM made smartphones. Try Power + Volume down key to boot into recovery Mode.

If that does not work, a simple Google search will show you how to boot your specific device into the recovery mode.

Step 3: Once entered into the Recovery option, navigate up and down using Volume keys.

Step 4: Look for Wipe Cache Partition, and click on it.

Step 5: All your Cache will be wiped successfully, now Reboot your device.

Method 3: Factory Reset

If any of this method didn’t work for you and the error continues to occur, then the last method you can try to overcome this problem is to perform a factory reset on your Android device.

Do note that performing a factory reset on your device may erase all your personal data and third party applications installed on your device’s internal memory. Your device will fully reset and will restore your phone to the state as it came out the box.

Performing a factory reset should definitely solve this error. Performing a factory reset is not that difficult.  Just make sure that you have taken a complete data backup of your phone before the reset.

You can hard reset your phone by going to Settings > Backup and Reset > Factory Data Reset > Reset Phone.

Alternatively, you can also factory reset from the Recovery Mode. But, just make sure that you remove all the Google account associated with your phone before proceeding with factory reset using recovery mode.

To delete Google account, go to Settings > Accounts > Google > Tap the three dots from the top right corner and select Remove.
